Meter for Compressed Air and Gases

Inline-Flow Sensor BMG 1025
The BMG 1025 series is ideally suited for consumption measurement of individual compressed air units thanks to its compact design and favorable price–performance ratio. The gas meter has an integrated flow rectifier and can thus be installed directly on the machine. In addition to the total consumption, the BMG 1025 sensor measures the process variables of the compressed air network such as flow velocity, media temperature, and optionally media pressure. As an alternative to the serial interface, the sensor can also be equipped with a pulse output (consumption in m³, l, kg) and an analog output (flow velocity in l/min, m³/h) for traditional measurement data acquisition.
The high-contrast LCD display in the sensor head shows two selectable measured values and their maxima in real time. If required, the display can be rotated by 180°, thus simplifying reading in the case of overhead installation. Installation is position-independent and, thanks to the threaded connection integrated in the measuring block, can be carried out in existing DN8 to DN50 pipelines with little effort. The flow straightener integrated in the measuring block allows installation directly on the machine without taking inlet and outlet distances into account.

Insertion Sensor BMG 1500
This consumption meter is ideal for extremely high flow rates in humid air up to a temperature of +180°C. Typical applications are measurements of the delivery rate of compressors as part of compressed air audits or efficiency measurement of compressed air systems. Due to the integrated, precise differential pressure sensor, the differential pressure/pressure at the sensor tip is measured. This is dependent on the respective gas velocity. Based on the pipe diameter, it is thus easy to determine the flow rate.
With the help of the additional measurement of temperature and absolute pressure, the calculation of the respective density can also be measured in a wide variety of gases at a broad range temperatures and pressures.

- For measurement directly downstream of the compressor in moist air up to +180°C
- Particularly suitable for extremely high flow rates
- Extremely fast response time: 100 ms

Insertion Sensor BMG 1050
This meter operates according to the calorimetric measuring principle. Additional temperature and pressure compensation is therefore not necessary. Due to the robust construction, the aluminum die-cast housing and the robust sensor tip made of stainless steel 1.4571, it is suitable for demanding industrial applications. For use cases in explosive environments, an ATEX version is available. For consumption measurements, for example, of natural gas, there is a version with DVGW approval. The electronic evaluation unit records all measured values digitally, precisely, and quickly, and a wide temperature range up to 180°C is possible. The measuring span is 1 to 1000 and thus allows measurements from very low to very high flow velocities.
As standard, the meter has a Modbus RTU output for all measured quantities such as Nm³/h, Nm³, Nm/s, Nl/min, Nl/s, kg/h, kg/min, ft/min, °C etc. All parameters can be set directly on the device. There are also 2× 4…20 mA analog outputs available for flow and temperature as well as a galvanically isolated pulse output for consumption.

Consumption Sensor BMG 1070
This consumption and flow sensor with integrated measuring section works according to the calorimetric measuring principle; an additional temperature and pressure compensation is therefore not necessary. In the BMG 1070 version, the sensor is supplied with an integrated measuring section. The measuring sections are optionally available as flange or threaded versions. A special advantage is the ability to unscrew the measuring unit. This allows the measuring unit to be removed quickly and easily for calibration or cleaning purposes. The measuring section is sealed by means of a sealing plug (accessory). The screw fitting with centering device is designed in such a way that the sensor is positioned exactly centrally in the direction of flow when it is screwed into the measuring section. This avoids measured value errors.
Due to the robust design in the aluminum die-cast housing and the robust sensor tip made of stainless steel, the BMG 1070 is suitable for the most demanding industrial applications. The evaluation electronics allows very precise, and fast measurements in a temperature range up to 110°C is possible. The measuring span is 1 to 1000 and thus allows measurements at very low as well as very high flow velocities.

- Integrated color display with touch panel
- High measuring accuracy up to 1%
- Impact-resistant aluminum pressure housing
