Inline flow sensor BMG 1025
The BMG 1025 series is ideal for measuring the consumption of individual compressed air units due to its compact design and favorable price-performance ratio. The gas meter has an integrated flow straightener and can therefore be installed directly on the machine. In addition to the total consumption, the BMG 1025 sensor measures the process variables of the compressed air network such as flow speed, media temperature and optionally media pressure. As an alternative to the serial interface, the sensor can also be equipped with a pulse output (consumption in m³, l, kg) and an analog output (flow velocity in l/min, m³/h) for traditional measurement data acquisition.
The high-contrast LCD display in the sensor head shows two selectable measured values and their maxima in real time. The display can be rotated 180° if necessary, making it easier to read when installed overhead. Installation is independent of position and is possible without much effort thanks to the threaded connection integrated in the measuring block in existing DN8 to DN50 pipes. The flow straightener integrated in the measuring block allows installation directly on the machine without taking inlet and outlet sections into account.
- Display of compressed air consumption, gas speed and temperature
- Gas pressure measurement (option)
- Consumption measurement with 1.5% accuracy
- Direct installation on the machine without inlet or outlet sections
- Pipe connection via measuring block with standard thread
- Measurement data can be read remotely via RS485 interface (Modbus RTU)
- Alternative interfaces: M-Bus, Modbus TCP or Modbus TCP PoE interface available
- Optionally with analog output (4/20mA) and pulse output (option)
- Also suitable for nitrogen measurement
- best price performance ratio

Penetration sensor BMG 1500
This consumption meter is ideal for extremely high flow rates in humid air up to a temperature of +180 °C. Typical applications include measuring the delivery volume of compressors, during compressed air audits or measuring the efficiency of compressed air systems. The integrated, precise differential pressure sensor measures the differential pressure/dynamic pressure at the sensor tip. This depends on the respective gas speed. The flow can therefore easily be determined based on the pipe diameter.
With the help of the additional measurement of temperature and absolute pressure, measurements can be made at a wide variety of temperatures and pressures by calculating the respective density, also in a wide variety of gases.
- For measuring directly after the compressor in humid air up to +180 °C
- Particularly suitable for extremely high flow rates
- Extremely fast response time: 100 ms
- Flow, total consumption, temperature and pressure
- Measurement at high temperatures up to max. 180 °C
- Can be used in pipes from DN 20 to DN 500
- Installation via 1/2″ ball valve under pressure
- RS 485 interface (Modbus RTU), 4…20 mA and pulse output as standard
- Optionally with M-Bus interface
- Integrated display

Penetration sensor BMG 1050
This counter works according to the calorimetric measuring principle. Additional temperature and pressure compensation is therefore not necessary. Due to the robust construction, the aluminum die-cast housing, and the robust sensor tip made of stainless steel 1.4571, it is suitable for demanding industrial applications. An ATEX version is available for use in explosive environments. For consumption measurements, for example of natural gas, there is a version with DVGW approval. The evaluation electronics record all measured values digitally, precisely and quickly; a wide temperature range up to 180°C is possible. The measuring range is 1 to 1000 and thus enables measurements from very low to very high flow velocities.
As standard, the meter has a Modbus-RTU output for all measured variables such as Nm³/h, Nm³, Nm/s, Nl/min, Nl/s, kg/h, kg/min, ft/min, °C etc. All parameters can be set directly on the device. There are also 2 x 4…20 mA analog outputs for flow and temperature as well as a galvanically isolated pulse output for consumption.
- also for outdoor use
- Compressed air measurement in hygienically critical areas
- Leakage measurement of compressed air and gases
- Consumption measurement of gases such as nitrogen, argon, carbon dioxide, oxygen etc.
- Consumption measurement in vacuum systems
- Consumption measurement of explosive gases such as natural gas, methane, propane, hydrogen with ATEX approval
- Measurement of oxygen and natural gas on gas burners
- ideal for connecting to the Efficio energy management software

Consumption sensor BMG 1070
This consumption and flow sensor with built-in measuring section works according to the calorimetric measuring principle, so additional temperature and pressure compensation is not necessary. -In the BMG 1070 version, the sensor is supplied with an integrated measuring section. The measuring sections are available either as a flange version or a threaded version. A particular advantage is the removable measuring unit. This means that the measuring unit can be quickly and easily removed for calibration or cleaning purposes. During this time, the measuring section is sealed using a sealing plug (accessory). The screw connection with centering device is designed in such a way that the sensor is positioned exactly in the middle of the flow direction when screwed into the measuring section. This avoids measurement errors.
Thanks to the robust construction in the die-cast aluminum housing and the robust sensor tip made of stainless steel, the BMG 1070 is suitable for the most demanding industrial applications. Thanks to the robust construction in the die-cast aluminum housing and the robust sensor tip made of stainless steel, the BMG 1070 is suitable for the most demanding industrial applications. The measuring range is 1 to 1000 and therefore enables measurements at both very low and very high flow velocities.
